There are several kinds of straight objects in Sketchpad: segments, rays, lines, and axes.

Straight objects are path objects, so you can use them in the same way you use other path objects.

In addition, there are several construction commands and measurement commands that require a straight object as a prerequisite:

•Construct | Parallel Line

•Construct | Perpendicular Line

•Measure | Slope

•Measure |  Distance (to measure the distance from a point to a straight object)
